Director of Rhythm Massage Development, Michelle Yaffe, studied her
Diploma of Remedial Massage at Victoria University, graduating
valedictorian of her year. She came to massage as a career change and
quickly found her place, not only treating clients in her own clinic,
but also as an educator of various remedial subjects at Victoria
University.
She specializes in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), self care for massage therapists and research literacy.
She also delivers seminars as a guest lecturer for AAMT, AMT,
Complementary Health Seminars and recently RMIT. She has been a
presenter at the national conferences of both AAMT and AMT (2007), was
on the committee for the AAMT conference (2008) in Adelaide and will be
presenting for AMT at their national conference in Melbourne as part of
a research summit team.
Michelle has had her article “It will never happen to me...” published
in the AAMT National journal in 2008, and has released an instructional
DVD in MLD for massage therapists through Complementary Health
Seminars.
Michelle believes educating therapists empowers them to continue not
only their professional development, but also their personal journey.
She is a passionate and dedicated educator who can guarantee a dynamic
and fun learning experience for all her students.
She is also a black belt in Shukokai karate, has walked the “Road to
Santiago”, is a keen juggler and circus skills student and world wide
traveller. |
