Muscle Energy Technique has its origins in Osteopathy and now incorporated into many disciplines, and is grounded in a foundation of clinical and empirical reasoning. It was created with an appreciation of the role soft tissue has to play as a possible causative and contributing factor in the development and perpetuation of articular dysfunction. Physiotherapist, Alison Bell, will discuss and demonstrate both assessment and treatment of dysfunction within the pelvis and lower limb, from the perspective of the mechanism of injury.
